Our Training Programme

ReconnectEd is offering a Regional Training Package for Senior Leaders in secondary schools to develop or improve their ‘in-house’ alternative provision for vulnerable young people.

This personalised 18-month training package will ensure you get your internal alternative provision right from inception all the way through to evaluation, and has been developed from:

  • Insights from our trauma-informed emotion coaching programme which has led to 100% pupil retention and no permanent exclusions in Sheffield, a national cold spot for serious youth violence and school exclusions

  • The combined skills and knowledge of our team, who have over 50 years of experience in school executive leadership, governance, coaching, training, OFSTED and change management

  • Specialised senior practitioners to provide valuable expertise and guidance

  • Evidence informed practice to improve pupil outcomes

  • The AP-Quality-Toolkit 2022 to support a quality framework for evaluation

You will receive:

  • Five days face to face training for up to two key members of staff, covering all the essential elements of a successful, high quality provision including: curriculum planning, impact assessment, well-being and self regulation tracking, referral systems, progress tracking, pupil reintegration, Ofsted expectations, emotion coaching and tailored leadership development.

  • Three days of individual consultancy to complement the specific needs of your school.

  • A specialised support network of current practitioners.

  • Access to online training, resources and templates.

  • A comprehensive final provision review delivered through our Accountability Framework.

The programme of training will begin in the Summer Term 2024 and end in the Spring Term 2026.  The application deadline is Friday 10th May for the training to start in June.

As a not for profit organisation, we have secured funding to offer schools
*50% off the full costs of the training programme*
reducing the cost to £4,000 per school in Year 1 and £2,000 per school in Year 2. This is equivalent to a day rate of £300 per person.
