We’re pleased to announce that we have been awarded funding through the KFC Youth Foundation’s 2026 Community Grants Programme.
We are proud to be one of 76 organisations selected from over 500 applications across the UK.
ReconnectEd at the One Humanity Event
ReconnectEd was proud to take part in One Humanity’s event at Warwick Shire Hall, a collaborative gathering focused on how shared values can strengthen communities.
Our CEO, Alexandra Hanratty FRSA, delivered a keynote exploring the importance of connection in helping young people to flourish, highlighting how trusted relationships can transform outcomes for those at risk of exclusion.

Reconnecting: A graphic novel about inclusion
Our CEO Alexandra Hanratty FRSA and Chair of Trustees Aidan Thompson, PhD recently attended the launch of Reconnecting: A Graphic Novel on Inclusion at the University of Huddersfield, a project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

Beyond the 4 Walls transition project
During the Summer term, we partnered with Beyond the 4 Walls to deliver a 10-week transition programme for Year 6 pupils our Coaches have been supporting at Mansel Primary, helping them prepare for their move to Yewlands Academy in September.

Dr Katy Granville-Chapman, ReconnectEd Trustee, gave ReconnectEd the spotlight at the inspiring Leadership for Flourishing Conference, kindly hosted by The University of Oxford's Worcester College at the end of June.
East Midlands Railways Community Rail Fund
A huge thank you to the East Midlands Railway Community Rail Fund for supporting the next stage of Expanding Horizons. With their funding, we’ll co-create a project with our coaches to benefit our upcoming cohort, working closely with the local community and organisations to deliver something truly relevant and impactful.

Ryan has begun his training to become a Forest School Leader. We are so excited for Ryan to gain this qualification and to be able to promote more outdoor learning with our young people.

Merry Christmas from ReconnectEd’s young people! Some of our pupils took part in a 10 week ‘early intervention’ crafts project during the Autumn term to develop their artistic skills, confidence and engagement. We are so grateful to The Radcliffe Trust for funding this project.
